Congratulations on "taking the plunge" into scuba diving!

You are about to begin a program that will allow you to visit new and unexplored environments. Your starting point is the Open water Diver course and this will enable you to safely enter and explore the marine environment.

At Adventure Down Under, we understand that everyone learns in different ways and at different rates. To assist you in your program we offer you a more personalized training course. This involves restricting student to Instructor ratios to 6:1 ratio. If you need extra time in any facet of your program, we will put in the extra time with you to ensure you are comfortable and confident with the required skills and knowledge. If we believe you would benefit by working individually with an instructor, we will organize this at no extra cost!

What happens after your course?

Adventure Down Under offers you automatic free membership into the ADU Dive Club. This entitles you to receive the bi-monthly newsletters and other special mail-outs, as well as discounted boat dives, hire equipment and discounts on purchases from the dive shop. The club organizes local dive outings as well as interstate and overseas trips away 3 times a year. At the end of each year, you will receive a subscription form. To rejoin the club, you will pay an annual fee of $50.00 or $70.00 for 2 or more people.

The major benefit of being part of the dive club is that through your initial dive course, we will come to know your personal limits in diving and can recommend dives that would be suited to your ability. This will assist you in gaining confidence and increasing your competence in the water over time in a safe and relaxed manner. So you will certainly not be left on your own after your course, as there are plenty of "buddies" available for you to dive with!
